Walked in this morning and had a look at the signing on sheet. About 40% of the office had signed in before 4.30. A couple of members suggested I hold a meeting so I did outside the gates. I let rip about how the business relied on favours and that RM's new business plan, relies on them running round their walks, coming in early, not taking their brakes, not using drop bags etc. By 8 o'clock at least half of the office had left drop bags on the floor. The line manager looked stressed out. Now all i have to do is work on the other half

We're a 5:00 start in our office but we had one guy down my aisle (ooooh eeer missus)who used to get in at 3:45,when I'd get in at 5 he would have already thrown out his walk and have been on the inward sorting frames for 15 mins doing extra, all in all he'd do at least an extra hour on the inward, sorting at 100%.He's done it for years and its never bothered me,everyone thinks he's a c**t.But I let him have both barrels 3 weeks ago cos now its costing us jobs,I did it calmly and made sure it could'nt be mistaken for bullying and he admitted he was a fool to himself. He still comes in about 4 now but dos'nt do any extra sorting, just sits on his frame staring into space till we all go on the ips together. Theres another guy we've got who comes in about 4 and still cant complete his walk, but is so spineless he wont officially cut off but PAYS another postie to do his cut off bags. One week we worked out he paid out £160

I pointed out the error of his ways to him this morning but it just made him more miserable than usual & the bastard was whinging all morning, he's only happy when he's dishing out his doughnuts, cakes, biscuits & bananas.

There still wasn't many of us that took our meal relief after the missort run was done though :mad

The beautifull bd south. They had about 6 people in telling them they would never be allowed to use cars again, but as they all said "so what" they got fed up with it and moved on to their next intimidation tactic. 13 weeks later still going strong, keep the faith brothers and sisters. :Very Happy

I've tried and tried at our office, but they're either selfish, stupid or both.
They don't realise that they hold the power to make things work their way.
But finishing early is what we've always done.

Dur!

They're not the smartest lot.
Some people though do do the job properly and respect to them.
The others will only come whinging when it's all over.
