On a Wallington?
You only actually work 39hrs! You've banked 1 day a week for 5 weeks to make up the extra 39hrs.

Think we're talking about a normal working week PLUS O/T on top equalling 70hrs actually worked.
yeah i see your point but in ours its 1 week off in every 4. work 3 weeks on and 1 off. but i see what you mean. so he has actually worked over 30 hrs blue in one week. serious hours that. never heard of that many since it was a good job many moons ago.
Same principal. 4 weeks work done in 3 weeks and then a week off.
Lads in our place 39 hrs on deliveries and 30 hrs O/T in MC!

I think it's the rep's job to ensure earning opportunities are shared equally throughout the unit for those that want it.
If this is done properly the chances of anyone working 70 hrs or more should be minimal.
It's also the rep's job to have resource meetings and try to capture as many hours as possible in an office into contractual hours to protect and create more jobs.
We don't need discipline and the conduct code,we need better managed offices.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

I quite agree with you but the point is the my colleague works his o/t over two different units. His parent delivery office and the mail centre which he lives close to. As for myself, yeh i was pulled into the office and had counselling that lasted ten seconds. C'est la vie.

Working 70 hours a week everyweek seems nuts to me, but I guess if money is tight fair enough. My issue would be if it was to stop a part timer who was desperate to become a full timer.

It probably is a part timer - full timers are doing 120 hours a week nowadays but they're only being paid for 39. :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle
