ok what you need to understand is Royal Mail can still bring in any changes it wants to, the only weapon a union has is to strike which they are going to do. If Royal Mail are going to be so strong headed as to continue to make changes anyway then thats up to them, it will mean more strikes in the future though and more "doing your job properly"
Im not sure what you think the union actually has the power to do, as far as I can tell theyre doing everything in their power to gain a good bargaining positon.

and whats to stop royal mail bringing in non payment of door to doors next,it seems as if the later starts were brought in without a fight..

im all for the strikes but surely we are striking because royal mail are trying to take the piss,,

as far as im concerned these later starts were part of the reason i was striking...and it comes in anyway...regardless of strikes or not..

what do you mean without a fight, what do you think the upcoming strikes are for ?

As I already mentioned Royal Mail can bring in changes and the union can do NOTHING about it directly. BUT the union can get us to go out on strike and show Royal Mail that we are fighting these changes. The strikes are the weapon the union has to hurt the Royal Mail in the pocket which should make them listen to what the union has to say and not go about things the way they are.
It shows how much the Royal Mail think of its workers that theyre bringing in these changes in the face of knowing that the workforce is strongly against them. Lets continue to hurt them and maintaining our strikes. As soon as we as a union back down then what Royal Mail have brought in will be here to stay.

i totally agree with you,and i know we have to strike as i have said im all for them, but these late starts are now in regardless of us striking or not,and that ithought was one of the things we didnt want,,and regardless of the strikes its now been brought in....

im striking because i dont want to be taking for a mug,but if royal mail has forced this in and our union has basically said that we have to work late, then surely whats to stop royal mail from bringing in the next thing to stitch us up with..

even if we are on strike..it seems to have gone in thier favour as far as the late starts are concerned...as i have said i know we have to strike there is no other way about it,but its a bit worrying when r.m bring these conditions and new times and it seems to have been accepted.

Are you familiar with the phase Lions lead by Donkeys?
Going out on strike won`t solve or do anything, all it will do is make you £100 a week worse off,and then the muppets will back down and Hayes will get a job as minister for postal reform and they will bring in the majority of the strings in anyway, they might throw you a crumb such as D2D`s still being paid but at a rate like 5 leaflets for £25.
