Ramsgate posties to pedal to Paris for the British Heart Foundation

A PAIR of posties from Ramsgate are taking part in a cross-Channel challenge to raise money for charity.

Paul Brown and Kris Webb are pedalling to Paris from London in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

The pair were inspired after riding in the London toBrighton race and wanted to raise £1,000 for the charity after a Royal Mail colleague and their boxing coach Darren Heggs both suffered heart disease.

Both men train at the Margate Amateur Boxing Club (MABC) gym on the Royal Esplanade and are fighting this weekend.

The MABC fighters are in action tomorrow (Saturday) at the Westgate Pavilion where fight fans can donate to the cause.

The action begins at 7pm at the Westgate Pavilion with fourteen bouts. Tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for children.
