Are you sure that's right? Because if it is then you are light on the hours - so shorts may be right.

I think you will find postman 43 that this is not long and shorts far from it.

If you want a short Saturday you have to make up the hours in the week or alternatively work a straight 8 hr day 5 days a week including Sat which is universally unpoular or 4 8hr 15 days and a 7 hour Saturday

Also as i understand Paul will sign off deal when given the ok at the moment the ok was given to sign it by div rep but are waiting the formal nod from hq.Allan Henshall signed it weeks ago

I doubt division would say sign it without having gone through it with fine toothcomb.

The question you have to ask yourself having viewed the latest LTB on start times is on the 10th October do you want to work under Royal Mails executive action on longs and shorts and put in a grievance, which until resolved or ET whichever comes first, you will be working these unpopular hours or go back on the 10th with a deal that enables a 1400 finish weekdays and 12.10 ( with meal relief) on Saturday with the knowledge that if there is an agreement reached at national level the area deal can be re negotiated if the offices involved wish to do so.

I know what i would prefer

If you work it out on the above times when your day off falls on a Mon,Wed,Thur or Fri you work a 39 hour 40min week which over those four weeks amount to 80 mins under.

This is to compensate for when your day off falls on a Saturday and you end up working 41 hrs 20 or 80 mins over if your day off is Tuesday it works out dead on 40 hours so it all evens itself out if my maths are correct.

I think the offices involved are getting a vote on it anyway if it ever gets signed off

I now have started to loose the plot. I thought we were all fighting for the same thing. If one area is allowed to go it alone then we will not be fighting as one.
If the national deal is not as good as yours then why should the rest of us suffer? When you call a national dispute then it should stay NATIONAL, either that or you send the mixed messages that the strike breakers and Royal Mail love. Does that mean that any area can take any of the points we are fighting for and renegotiate locally. You then end up in a mess and no one trusting the union.

ps I do hope I have read this post wrong :pray :pray :pray :pray :pray
