How much would people get if they work for royal mail for 8 years full time and is 41. Just interested to know to see what kind of EVR will Royal Mail offer.

Same thing - although after Monday everyone on 40 should now be on 39 hours.

Oh well I suppose that accounts for where the slack(ers) in the system are within RM. Whilst delivery gets worked into the ground with offices run on a skeleton staff, M.C.s have the luxury of excess staff and regular EVR being offered.

Not really! Mail centres get new ways of working so productivity goes up and the job gets done more efficiently with new machines ie the walk sequencers etc! Where as there is always going to be the same amount of houses that get covered on a walk.
You are right in a sense db BUT delivery offices also have walk sequencers which cuts down on indoor work we've had them over a year and we haven't had a single buy out - so that would lend itself to believe that MCs have been overstaffed and delivery offices have been working stripped to the bone for years.

Not strictly true, especially if you consider new builds, change of use to residential, evictions and boarding ups - and of course the permanent temporary lapsing which seems to get bigger and bigger.

is this tax free or with tax. 302 x 30 weeks or full wages x 30 ? (That is about 9,600) no good though.

Yes it would be tax free and no it would be no good.
It's 30 weeks pay so at your age you basically have 30 weeks to find another job paying the same just to break even.
Good luck with that.

On the overall subject of buydown and VR in delivery,if you are in an office with a 90%+ full-time staffing and those staff want 9 day fortnights or 4 day weeks there is a good chance your revision will produce surplus staff because those attendance patterns murder headcount and full-time working.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share
