what a load of cack. I still can't see how they can justify the costs of this rubbish...........hopefully will be consigned to the bin very soon.
The new thing they've come up with this week appears to be relabelling the frames with paw prints for dogs and other H&S stuff. They also want to start printing times on the start of the loops......Loop 1 33mins etc. I'm about to go to disagreement about it.

RM TV that's definitely for me - I can see it all now, "What's my motivation, does my knob look big in these pants, will I need makeup - what am I talking about - bring it on - Lipstick, mascara eye shadow - can I mention I'm going commando for the shoot, I'd like fresh prawn sarnies in the fridge, lots of fresh orange juice, my own personal masseuse and my trailer should have blackout curtains for entertaining the groupies -
NO PHOTOGRAPHS"

Pinky Pinky Pinky - you've just got to embrace the new technology, moving pictures, subtitles for the hard of hearing, I believe the Voice is coming out as a talking book for example.................now there's a medium your face was created forPinky 1 wrote:.............. i am slowly losing the will to livePOSTMAN wrote:https://www.myroyalmail.com/rmtv/world- ... ecruitment

The target savings ratio is 4:1.Stormproof wrote:what a load of cack. I still can't see how they can justify the costs of this rubbish..........
What they don't explain is that the savings are not real even though the costs are.
What they do is identify what might be be an inefficient practice(maybe sorting) that might cost you only 1 second a minute then multiply it the number of staff involved(20) then by the minutes you might be doing this task per day(60)/days in the week(5)/weeks in the year(52) divide it by 60 to get an hours figure and then multiply that by our hourly rate £10 to get £57,000 of projected savings....sounds great but....
Unfortunately these projected savings are not real because even if you eliminate that 1 second of loss you haven't really saved anything unless you can transfer it into "value time" which in 99% of cases in this job you can't.
If i sort 25 letters 1 second quicker does the business really gain from that...no because i might scratch my ear and lose 2 seconds, drop a letter on the floor and lose 10 seconds or just get bored and lose 5 minutes.
It's all based on micro saving and the mistaken belief that you can just multiply and multiply until you get something that looks good on paper.
In 1-2 years time Royal Mail is going to ask when these savings will actually start to appear on office budgets and they are in for a big disappointment.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

The ONLY positive about WCM is that it gets budget.... the downside to this is that the budget is taken from elsewhere ie day to day ops.
WCM is a project to make the management look as though they are appoaching problems in a professional manner ready for privatisation it is window dressing pure and simple.
In the past incompetent managers were 'parked' on Project Work... now it's WCM ;)

( from the floor I'd say get each and everyone of them on a round for a week once a year ( and don't tell me it can't be budgeted for when cover DiMs and linos have to be brought in for weeks that everyone and their nan knew was gonna be tits-up eons before.. whilst the 'management take annual leave.. ffs ) )
