Amazing footage filmed, edited and uploaded on to Youtube in no time by the seriously talented Mr Andy Capon. Royal Mail should watch this - they will never understand, nor defeat a community as enterprising, creative, imaginative - and determined - as ours. Thank you everyone for today. It was a blast. And posties, it was a shame you couldn't be there but this was for you, so enjoy! Julie Wassmer x ps Marcus - here's the slogan... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTMK77A5NfQ

The people of Whitstable staged this protest yesterday (26th Jan) during a 3 week review period during which our postal staff cannot take industrial action following their one day strike on 12th January, (taken to try to preserve our local service here in Whitstable.) Our posties may not have been able to strike or protest but we did - we came out and formed the People's Picket Line - to show Royal Mail that we are ready and more than willing to come out whenever necessary to support our beloved posties again for fighting so hard to keep our delivery office here. Our message to Royal Mail was 'Balls to Royal Mail's Move'. And, as with the protest on 12th January, it was all filmed by BBC News. Julie Wassmer.
