We had spikes but were no use , RM thinks that postmen are all size 6 shoe sizeLateagainpostie wrote:Lack of equipment is down to managers not ordering it in time, we had things like spikeys delivered to our office last September, saying that the spikeys are next to useless, nowhere near as good as chains.

Re: BAD WEATHER
Was told today RM no longer issue snow shovels, or snow socks WTF
They then expect us to go out in it and when we are stuck we will be blamed.

Re: BAD WEATHER
After a week of snow of the ground we were finally told today that our office will not be handing out spikeys....we have to ring up the Uniform Dept and order them....
and they'll arrive when the snow has virtually gone......brilliant.

Re: BAD WEATHER
Then don't deliver anything risky util they arrive. If RM won't provide you with spikes, don't go walking about in the ice. You slip, break a leg, first things they'll ask you was we're you wearing correct footwear and did you hav snow spikes/grip.Jon Chaplarski wrote:After a week of snow of the ground we were finally told today that our office will not be handing out spikeys....we have to ring up the Uniform Dept and order them....

Re: BAD WEATHER
Wondering what time allowance is given, for putting the Ice/Snow Grips on for the delivery, and then off again for the driving, then on again for the delivery, and...etc?
As I was informed they are Not to be used for driving. By the Manager...
