I never said I worked on the Operational Side. What I did say is that everybody - even a manager - takes orders from somebody unless you are AL. Even AC takes orders from AL. If we're saying that the people who give orders are the enemy, then let us not forget that they are only doing as they are told by others. As I know for a fact, there are plenty of managers who are very displeased with what is happening. Why do you think I left, after all?

They'll be the ones who protested very strongly that they were getting a few grand in bonus payments while we were getting nothing, and telling Late On and Dozier that it was unfair on those of us who actually do the work and earn the cash in the first place.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Obviously there are some that don't fit this description

.... A few grand in bonus? I bloody wish. I never got more than a few hundred quid at best.
In fact, the one year I didn't get a bonus was the year the wildcat strikes took place in the South. Since the RM as a whole missed its performance targets, the managers didn't get the bonus, even though the managerial grades had exceeded target that year. So thanks to the actions of strikers, I lost my bonus. I think it's unfair to be penalised for the actions of other people.
No doubt someone will claim I'm a soft pansy yes-man wimp or something and I am practically a traitor to the whole human race. Yawn. Posties would go through the roof if they didn't get a bonus because of managers going on strike, I guarantee that.

Well, we're all being penalised because of the actions of RM and the great pension theft.Ex RM Manager wrote:.... A few grand in bonus? I bloody wish. I never got more than a few hundred quid at best.

Yeah, 'cos you just know the whole job would run a lot smoother in about 95% of delivery units - the other 5% would be dragged down by managers scabbing!Ex RM Manager wrote:.... A few grand in bonus? I bloody wish. I never got more than a few hundred quid at best.

Oh right o........
L TOMMO, I have a problem with your attitude, if someone makes a choice then it's their choice. It does'nt mean they are a spineless yes monkey, they may well be, or they could have very good reasons for their choice. I think it takes a lot of bottle to cross a picket, there are people in my office who totally disagree with the union but have not crossed the line, they are just as spineless as the yes men who do all the manager asks of them. As for me, I know I would'nt be brave enough to cross if I agreed with Leighton and crozier. Managers at our level are just as prone to bullying from above as we are, I have heard threats made to a DOM in my MC about his future and I have even heard about our SDOM getting a dressing down because ONE person in my section was booking pro delivery. My DOM is actually a decent bloke doing his best in the circumstances, tarring them all with the same brush is unfair tho it is true that the good one's are in a small minority.
Not you as well moaning and crying for simpathy!!!! My word what has this world come to when So called managers cant even stand up and be counted???
I think everybody has a choice and that choice has a fall out and a price to pay... IF someone is in the Union and a majority vote is cast then individuals can either BACK THE 77% in this case or GET OUT OF THE UNION...
SIMPLE.. So your point of strike breakers having bottle dont cut no ice with me.. They gave up being recognised as humans when they shite on the working class and stick a knife in the back of there EX workmates... Ive read your points and they hold no water in my opinon.. YOU HAVE AN OPINION AND YOU LIVE BY THE MORALS OF THAT OPINION.. GOOD N BAD.. IF YOU SCAB YOU LOSE ANY REASON FOR YOUR POINTS... In my opinion.. The bigger picture is there to see... Its about the greater good and SCABBING dont help that.....
I dont give a shite for "YOUR PROBLEM WITH YOUR/MY ATTITUDE." As i dont have to care what a screw thinks...
If you or your Screw mates are being bullied... Ive heard RM have a ZERO TOLLERANCE TO H&B !!!! Take a HR1 form and stick that in to the HR dept.. If you need i will PM you the Full address ????? But if you dont want to stick a H&B form in SHUT THE FECK UP MOANING and grow a spine !!!!!
As for being threatend ive heard a Manager i do have some respect for being told by there SCREW.. "THAT THEY WANT TO SLAP THERE FACE." But shame as this person had witnesses STILL didnt stick in a HR1 against there SCREW... I lost respect of the person after this happened.... SO JACKDAW.. U pick your side and lets see each other on the picket line!!!!
OUT

I heard a rumour the other day that managers at a certain mail centre were taken in one by one and told that if they go on strike then they can kiss goodbye to their jobs. Has anyone else heard of similar happenings? If true have senior management got a list of other incompetent assholes to take their place?
Down with the blackleg, all workers unite.

I used to think there would be no way i could strike with a manager. But i have had to revise my opinion. The managers are the ones running the machines while we are out, they are the ones handling the dsa mail. So if enough of them came out it could make a difference. The trouble is there is not enough of them willing to strike, time and time again i hear the ones who are totally against strike action. Most of them, no matter what Royal mail did against them, would ever strike...they are programmed to conform!
