Biggest B*ll*ck*ng? that's right, some arsehole comeuppance of a work colleague reports me to some arsehole comeuppance of a newbie manager in training when I run my nipper 500m to meet his Mum for an Ortho appt.

B*st*rds all of them.. the moral of the story? Dont, just Dont.

Never thought I'd even ever think 'More than my job's worth' glum, glum, glum..

(dont know what an 'arsehole comeuppance' is either but like the sound of it)

Just presented the idea in our office to coincide with the introduction of P&L in the coming months...

Dom..."The benefits are that you wont be using your own vehicle/fuel to make the trip to and from work"...
Failed to mention that should you have an accident whilst performing one of the above formentioned journeys then its down to us to inform our OWN insurance company about it, not to mention having to leave the van at the office the night before and make your own way home should you be having the following day off...its not their responsiblity to get you home. Add to that all the s**t that would be thrown at you if something goes wrong...

All for the sake of (in my case) a saving at the most 40p in fuel per trip in exchange for the possiblity of having an accident or any damage being sustained to the vehicle whilst in my care then I politely decline the offer :dcfo

Edit: I forgot to mention - all the time doing RM the favour because they havent got the physical room to store all these vehicles in the first place and as such would need to be left in an unsecured public car park all night - where the risk of theft/vandalism is a dead cert - as was the case with a majority of our hire vans this Xmas just gone :Applause

I once ate kangaroo, seriously, I'm not a fan - it was a bit too gamey for me. I had been told it was steak

Given the wonderful weather, I wonder if anyone has taken a van home, only to be involved in an accident of some form associated with icy roads?

Make sure, you are legally allowed to drive it, once permission granted and legal. Only use for its correct purpose. The ones who even uses it, out side of work hours, just to go to shops, may find them selves, being in trouble criminally, possible arrest or reported for motoring offences. Taking a vehicle without owners permission and vehicle may even be seized by police. Lots of technicalities to be considered first.
