The Queen shows her faith in 'snail mail’

In a world where insensitive souls have been known to transmit even messages of condolence by email or text, the Queen is still a reassuringly staunch believer in “snail mail”.
She is looking for a correspondence officer with the “ability to read and digest a large number of letters in a short space of time”. Based at Buckingham Palace, the job commands £20,000 a year and applicants are left in no doubt as to how much importance the Queen attaches to her mailbag.
“The correspondence office deals with most of the general public correspondence addressed to the Queen,” the Royal website states. “The office deals with a high volume of mail, all of which requires sensitive handling and thoughtful replies.”
Applicants must possess “the ability to read and digest a large number of letters in a short space of time”, and “remain calm under pressure whilst maintaining constant and close attention to detail”.
For those thinking of writing to the Queen, the website makes it clear how the monarch should be addressed in a formal letter. The correct form of words is: “I have the honour to be, Madam, Your Majesty’s humble and obedient servant”, but this is not obligatory. “You should feel free to write in whatever style you feel comfortable,” it adds, in keeping with the spirit of the times.

The Queen shows her faith in 'snail mail'
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Well we do that every day so I went across to the Palace, saw there was a queue of colleagues already there, (they can't all have been waiting for a signature, can they? ) and then asked the man with the Big Hat standing in the little box if they were taking on people, "Round the back, Sir".
'Sir' eh?, respect where it's due and all that, I could live with that.. .
