Angard only started operating in June 2011 - it was a dormant company before then.

RM transferred their year round casuals over to Angard from June to November in 2011.

Last Christmas (2011) Angard managed/mismanaged Christmas casuals and kept some Christmas casuals on in their casual pool.

RM employed most Christmas casuals directly this Christmas after Angard's attempt the previous year (2011). It will be the first year RM have tansferred Christmas casuals to Angard. It is the first time this could have happened - do not expect it to go smoothly.

Update:

This morning I got a call from Angard saying they got my details from RM (woo, kept on!) and to go in mon-fri (starting today) then around 2 hours before I was due in I received a text saying don't going in todays shift has been cancelled...is this going to be a daily occurrence? I'm hoping it is because of the adverse weather the country seems to be suffering

Sometimes you get booked for a week and can lose all of it: sometimes you may lose some of it: sometimes you may keep all of it.

Normal operations, for where I work, is a Text sent to some or all casuals saying shifts available. Mad scramble by casuals to call the number given in the text - usually an 0845 number. Text can be just for that day or shifts all week and you get booked on a first called basis until the shifts are allocated. These shifts may also get cancelled by text or when you turn up at the place of work!!!!

Occaisionally, people are required n short notice basis, say within an hour or asap, we get either texts again or telephone calls get made by Angard.

Whenever I have been cancelled they have only ever texted, never telephoned, unless they didnt bother letting me know at all and I only found out when waiting to sign in that RM had cancelled.
