Yes, there was also a smirk on the dims face as he said it. The round was massive and it was a heavy day. Prepping person said he hadn't seen it that heavy even at Christmas! Told dim I don't think i Would be able to complete in time and got told 'its a piece of piss this round' again with a smirk.

It was if they wanted to prove how bad they can be. Sad sad people who need to get a life!

I'm totally out of there now. F*ck the lot of em.
That's DISGUSTING :( but no less than what I would expect from the useless ...... And says it all how if you spend years there it makes no difference how your treated and tormented ! Report them - write a letter like I have , do everything you can to get this exposed because nobody believes what goes on and the more people that have been treated bad , unfair or even bullied then it looks better than doing nowt ! Thing is here they all cover their tracks so well and rely on no one saying anything ! Good luck to you , sounds like myself you were forced out of a job and unlike many of the two faced I'm all right jack staff you saw sense to move on ! Your be fine and remember too Lifes too short to be unhappy !
I'm not being funny and i'm not looking for an argument, but why is it DISGUSTING. Someone has to do the crappest walk in every office, someone has to do the heaviest of walks on the heaviest of days.

With all due respect to femalepostie, after handing in her notice, she is not going to be greeted with open arms in the best of companies never mind Royal Mail.

It would be more disgusting if someone was taken off their "easy" walk, so this person did not have to do the heavy walk for her last week.

As for managers saying "its a peice of piss"....... it matters not one jot what they say. If you believe that walking at a resonable pace and doing the job properly, you will not complete, then you advise the employer (which you did) and cut off..... end of. Their "opinion " on the state of pissness of the walk is pointless.
Tripitaka: "You should live without fear. There's as much chance of good things as bad things."
Sandy: "It's a cheerful philosophy and I've heard it from people before. They're all dead now."
Monkey "Excuse me when I say, that you really are extraordinarily dim!"

It is what it is because of the obvious and blatant, petty, immature non-management reasoning behind it.
It's not against the rules and as you say someone has to get left with the crappiest walk but well paid so-called managers acting like children is pretty disgusting no matter how you try to defend it.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

I can say from experience Royal mail is not the worst place to be! I worked for Royal mail for 7 years left to work for a courier company for the last 4 years and it was hell ! Back at the Post now and its amazing compare to lifting washing machines on your own with no tail lift or a trolley!

The grass is always greener on the other side.

As long as you are being paid to be there a certain time, turn up, do whatever work they put in front of you, finish on time, then go home and forget about the place until the next day, and repeat.

It annoys managers more if you do that, than if you give up and jack it in. They win that way.

Its a job not easy to find one now ! Just go in and do the job then go home and forget about it as said above! You will regret it ! :arrrghhh

The one thing that swayed me to leave was getting a new job offered to me. Less pay cos it's less hours, but its family friendly hours and not a bullying toss pot in sight!

I have 3 girls all under 6 and this job is the best job to do full time if you have a family away home early compare to ur 5pm jobs! When i worked at the courier company i was away at 5am and not home till 11pm ! money was crap etc .....

Anyway good luck in your new job ! :thumbup

Go sick for the rest of the week and let the manager deliver the so called "piece of p*ss" walk ...he might find it difficult negotiating a bundle of letters and a coffee cup in the same hand while his other hand's planted firmly in his pocket... :d'oh!

Good luck for the future :wave
