Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at a Newcastle Post Office.
A man armed with a knife went into the Post Office on Trevelyan Drive, in Newbiggin Hall Shopping Centre in Newcastle at 10am today, Saturday December 29.
He threatened staff and stole a small amount of cash before running off. Police say no one was injured during the incident but staff were left very shaken.
The offender is described as a white man, wearing a black ski mask, of slim build, 6 feet tall, with brown hair, wearing dark trousers and a black shiny hooded shell type top, carrying a knife.
