youve lost me. i know im an old dinasaur but in the past when there was a bank holiday we were told what the working hours for that week were and then we took that figure away from the hours we actually worked on duty. this gave you your excess duty which you booked on o/t. as the pay and mod agreement says your weekly contractual hours will not be affected i haven't seen anything in print that change's this.[/quote]silly suffolk wrote: so in that case if the duty finishes at 1845 then they start claiming ot same for the other days also, as soon as it hits 1845 they claim their ot
ahh ok all becomes clear from that post, its got nothing to do with the fact they work long mondays, just that it was a bank holiday tuesday and wednesday, and coupled with fact that these people only work Monday Thursday and Friday, sorry the bank holidays did not fall on their days of work so they are not entitled to OT
and no agreement i know of say they are,
they may however be entitled to a little bit of annual leave back for these days, as if their current annual leave entitlement is less than the legal minimum without bank holidays being counted then part of their time of may have to be added to make up the legal minimum,
They worked a normal weeks hours, 3 days off per week 2 of which fell on the bank holiday this unfortunately does not entitle them to claim them all back unless it was under their legal minimum of annual leave
