Royal Mail’s £1.1 million-a-year boss Moya Greene may have yanked up the price of stamps, but she runs a pretty incompetent operation. One in 11 of the Christmas cards we received this year arrived with the stamps unfranked. Scissors and gluepot, please. I intend to re-use them and deny Ms Greene a few quid.

To be fair he does have a point - we don't cancel them when we should.

When we did the manual sorting a few Xmases ago we were told not to cancel or sort out any surcharged items and to just sort. Even though RM say to staff that they should, they don't allow you the time to do it, so it's their (and eventually the staff's) loss.
Does this rag smell of chloroform to you?

Quentin Letts, Quentin Letts, riding through the glen. Best not to announce your crimes beforehand, but surely a increase in stamp fraud just leads to another price hike to secure revenue.
The machine stops.

Revenue protection will catch most of what he sends, then the receipient will have to pay plus the surcharge. Quids in all round.

How Revenue Protection can catch when uncancelled stamp has been re-used? How can they prove it ?bag69 wrote:Revenue protection will catch most of what he sends, then the receipient will have to pay plus the surcharge. Quids in all round.

Re: Quentin Letts Announces intention to reuse stamps - Crim
The only way they could, is if he puts a return address on it. He's announced publicly his intention to defraud RM, so that's sufficient grounds to assume that his stamps have been reused. If he objects, it's up to him to prove that he's actially paid for the stamps.human1 wrote:How Revenue Protection can catch when uncancelled stamp has been re-used?
