Anyone else pleasantly surprised.........over pay?

Post by Introverted moron »

Yes, I'm being serious.

Despite finishing last Thursday and having Friday off, they paid me a full week's wages for last week i.e. paying as if I'd worked on Friday too. Not sure whether this is a mistake or whether they are genuinely being generous......maybe they do do Christmas at the Royal Mail after all?! :silenced

Be careful - RM and probably Angard had to do the pay run early before Christmas, something to do with the BACS system expecting to be overloaded. They therefore probably expected everyone still at Angard to be working Friday and ran the pay with that assumption.

They will probably try to claw it back.

Should do yes.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

See the Blue Shirts thread about no overtime paid - it'll be the same reason because of the Bank Holiday they ran the BACs payment earlier than usual.
