Yes from my understanding of this we are getting paid one weeks basic money a week early and a few days overtime a bit late so can't see what the problem is really?

As you can see anything after the 20th December will not be paid until Friday 4th January 2013 when there is a possibility that overtime and scheduled attendance and allowances will be accrued on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd which would normally be paid on the 28th December 2012.

It would seem from reports i've had that the situation was even worse than Bob expected .
What Royal Mail failed to tell their staff was that Wednesday 19th December would be the cut off date for overtime paid on the 28th December 2012.

Whatt i don't understand is the BACS issue. The amount of transactions to BACS does not change .. i.e. one per employee.

So, why is there an issue? Or as someone else said earlier ; the Payroll staff are not available at this time of year?

One thing to bear in mind is that the overtime rate goes down after the first 10 hrs for any single week (For us 40 hr contracts); so as a consequence when they lump two weeks o/t together we shall be paid at a lower rate for anything over 10hrs even though each week should have had a 10hr allowance.

e.g If you had done 10 hrs a week for the last 2 weeks instead of being paid at the higher rate fo 20 hrs you will only be paid the higher rate for 10 hrs and a lower rate fo the other 10 hrs!

How do i know this? I had done 14 hrs o/t (very reluctantly) over the last 2 weeks, and yes on my pay slip today 10 hrs higher rate and 4 hrs at the lower rate; it has happened to all who exceeded 10 hrs and the DOM has been given another headache!
