Not personally - but IIRC there was such an incident on one of those exposé progs that came after the infamous CH4/Dispatches one.verbal wrote:Have you heard of anyone get a casual job at RM only to get removed for falling a CRB check ?

Re: CRB check ??
They would find that before anyone started, thats why interviews are start in October to give them a chance to process the CRB's. At the "interview" i went to it was made clear i had the job subject to the CRB being OK.

Royal Mail even insist you are re-vetted if you have not worked for them for more than 28 days. Hence a week before Christmas I'm still waiting for my first shift from Angard.

Something tells me that yes,we've had that reported on here before and that it has happened, not 100% though, but it does ring a bell.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: CRB check ??
Yes there was a few last year that were escorted off RM premises once they got the CRB checks completed. Not sure why they started in the first place but they did get escorted off. Was reported on here and also in the press last year.
