Payslip

Post by Mits00 »

I started work on Thursday 29th November and worked 8 hours on that day, Friday and Saturday but got a payslip today which says i've earned £0.00 and the payment date on it says 07/12/2012. I was wondering if thats a mistake cause i thought whatever hours we work last week we get the next friday?

that should be the case, I worked 3 days last week and although I haven't received a payslip yet, I have money due to go in my bank tomorrow from angard staffing.

Its about £25 short so I guess I have been given a nasty tax code which isn't helpful at all

it says pay rate £248 at the top with the other information. At the bottom of the pay slip letter, it just shows deduction, gross, net pay etc as 0.00. Is that the correct pay rate for night shift 22.30 till 6 mon - sat by the way ? and the pay rate means that i will be paid 248 next week ?

If its a RM pay slip then the £248 pay rate is for a full week at 39/40 hours so you need to do a bit of maths. A rough guide would be £6.20 an hour.

This will depend upon whether you are working for Angard or Royal Mail. Royal Mail pay week goes from Monday to Sunday : Angard pay week goes from Saturday to Friday (Friday nights will be considered Saturday for pay as it finishes after the cut off time for payroll).

im Royal Mail this year, which suggests I should have gotten paid for that Saturday.

For the record I was Wed-Saturday, days.

Looks like I am missing a day, speak to my line manager I guess (as paperwork says)

to be fair to the Royal Mail, I contacted them Friday lunch time, they said they didnt pay me for Saturday, and they will add it to my pay next week, a much easier process than Angard.
