Not a retard. A collector that wanted that version of the stamps would most likely also be interested in the card which portreys the 'Large' version of the stamp.

How do you come to the conclusion that £55.84 is more expensive than the £60 from the P.O. :hmmmm

Where Val has a problem is that unfranked stamps go for 40 - 45% Face Value for "on paper" and only 50 - 60% F.V. for "Off Paper" not the over 93% face value she is after. :roll:
Tripitaka: "You should live without fear. There's as much chance of good things as bad things."
Sandy: "It's a cheerful philosophy and I've heard it from people before. They're all dead now."
Monkey "Excuse me when I say, that you really are extraordinarily dim!"

There's 4 sheets and 2 cards so it's probably a couple who work for RM.

Aren't stamps legal tender anyways? Can't we go into a shop and pay for things with our stamps? :crazy:

No they aren't legal tender.

http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... 3&start=15" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
While you are free to accept stamps as payment for a service or goods, there is no legal obligation for you to accept them when offered and you have no legal recourse if payment in stamps is refused!

Legal tender has a very narrow and technical meaning in the settlement of debts. It means that a debtor cannot successfully be sued for non-payment if he pays into court in legal tender. It does not mean that any ordinary transaction has to take place in legal tender or only within the amount denominated by the legislation. Both parties are free to agree to accept any form of payment whether legal tender or otherwise according to their wishes. In order to comply with the very strict rules governing an actual legal tender it is necessary, for example, actually to offer the exact amount due because no change can be demanded.
