BAH HUMBUG POSTMAN! YOU WONT BELIEVE WHAT HE DID!!!

Cycling on pavements in the UK is illegal, but is allowed in a lot of countries on the continent, we find in our town that a lot of the Poles especially ride on pavements and expect you to get out of the way, the kids tend to copy them, they also see it as a safer place to cycle because the roads are too busy.

The punishment is £30 fine or court for repeat offences.

1:The kids are wrong to ride on the pavement,a no brainer there,but they are kids.
2:He was wrong as he could of injured the kids,possibly both could of had an accident.
3:Potential damage to the mail as both bikes went over the bag.
4:PDA left unattended...technically.

He threw a mailbag at children cycling. No excuse for this. If it was my kid and the postman did this...well....

Kids will be kids, grown ups should be grown ups. Kids could have fallen off and hit their heads on the ground, or fallen into the road in front of a car. Unacceptable.

I would sooner have my child with no road sence or knowledge to ride on the pavement especially with todays roads ! You have to have your wits about you as cars dont see you , pull out in front of you etc And too many in a rush or on mobile phones
I was brought up to ride on the roads but roads were a lot better then , most people were lucky to have just one car ! And all kids walked or cycled to school , no school runs in 4x4 s in my day lol
I agree all adults and children over 16 imo should ride on the roads , my daughter when she was around 8 yrs old got shouted at by a woman when she was riding on the path on her xmas present on Boxing day ,a bike to a child is a toy to a adult its a form of transport , she has never ridden a bike since ! It upset her that much And she is twenty now

I think it was due to the speed they were riding on the path, they were going quite quick, and they don't know who is coming out of a shop or what might happen. It asn't the best thing to do but i see where he was coming from, if that is what he was planning on doing.
