Where does it say you can't sell the stamps on? In my eyes they r a gift to you, then do with them as you please!!! If you worked for a sales company and they gave you a watch say, but you had one or didn't like it then sell it!! No probs!

I have read somewhere you are not allowed to sell them on,maybe you can give them to your Granny or Auntie Jean but to sell them is not a good idea.

Its like working in brewery and the y give you 8 cans of beer and ask you not to drink them on the premises and you defy them well you wont get 8 cans the year after. There is always on fool that spoils it. common sense tells you not to sell them.

Bare in mind,we have had some of our colleagues SACKED because of innocent throw away comments on Facebook/Twitter/Here ect.
Bare in mind then the mindset of some of the management we have.
And last but not least, bare in mind it's 30 f***ing quid for a possible 60 f***ing quid or whatever the dole pays now for god knows how long.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Maybe there should be a batch for staff with the words "Not for resale" on them would prevent them getting sold on. Postman is there a document saying "We can't sell them on" just or curiosity?

As long as stamps indicate the class not the cost, they remain valid

She might have got away with just selling the stamps but the card is a big clue from where they have come from? it also scales it down to Cleveland silly Girl.
Very true, and if someone really wants a 'collectable' card then I can send them mine...........I'll end put a stamp on it myself
Not the card but the stamps that might be 'collectable' as they're a different printing from any sold to the public, with selvedge remaining between the stamps, this as much as the card being a big clue from where they have come from. :Very Happy

It has nothing to do with Royal Mail management bullying tactics and everything to do with HMRC.
The stamps are not for resale unless you want to pay tax on the resale value.
Yep, but save for someone going out of their way to grass someone up, I don't think that HMRC have the time or funds to go chasing up people for £25 worth of stamps sold on eBay.
You seriously think the managers aren't trawling ebay and wouldn't think twice about reporting them to their boss and the HMRC :nervous
They don't have to trawl Ebay as they're on HERE reading everything we all put and in some instances making their jobs even EASIER

They're still valid with the cost. You just need more of them, like five of the 1980 ones, four of the 1982 ones, etc. :Very Happy
