Hi there, I'm new to this forum due to being concerned about my application with royal mail..
I applied for the Peterborough center on the 21st of October for a Christmas casual and the status is 'Application Received' and that has been like that for over a month.
I also applied for the mail sorter on the 8th of November and that status is 'Test finished' I'm really determined to get this job as they're both perfect for me! How long normally is the application process?!
Many thanks,
D dalsar

The Christmas Casual job, you should really have heard something about that by now.
As for the Mail Sorter job, I have applied for it as well, and was wondering the same thing, I have "Test Finished" as well. TBH I am not going to worry about it till the New Year, seems an odd time to recruit non Christmas Casual staff.
Not sure why you feel you are prefect for the job, but im betting alot of Christmas Casuals think similar about the job as well. I know the local Work Program provider included a Royal Mail job in one of its emails, so I suspect there will be plenty of people applying.

I know! I feel as if they're taking a long time to reply to me. The reason is why the mail sorter is perfect for me is because of times.wamdue wrote:The Christmas Casual job, you should really have heard something about that by now.

I'm at college 3 days a week and don't finish till 5 and they want someone 5 days over 6 to do 6pm-10pm and its perfect! Due to my awkward college days, it's difficult for me to gain a job.

plenty of unemployed people who live alot closer than you (and me actually, I dont come under Peterborough City Council) so I wouldn't go getting your hopes up.
