Royal Mail want lots of things but there is nothing in business transformation which says you have to achieve 100bsi. Start times are negotiatable and are driven by the arrival of your second batch of sequencing.

Royal Mail will attempt to get what they want from the revision , the Cwu should attempt to get what the members want and use the disagreement procedure if you want .

We're having our revisions in the new year. Been told will be starting 8am or later. Is there any rule to not allow this, other offices in the area still start early,(they have had revisions) and out on delivery at 8am. Most days already 9am specials fail, have a friend claiming cos it did not get ther until 9.10am .

Also, walk sequencing was implemented Sept 2011, still no money, was promised it several times. Still waiting for a 39 hr week. Can we claim that 1hr as overtime?

Why didn't we think of that earlier?

Oh I know. When we didn't appear to have any backing at Area Or Divisional level - where were our disagreements going to go?
And when some offices who hadn't seen a penny of their TLS were willing to agree, what use were isolated offices.

Indeed and the words are not "No" but "Vast majority", and "duties" not "offices"

As part of the operational transformation the vast majority of full time delivery duties will start no later than 0700

.

Of course depends on your definition of vast majority - 90% would be considered as such by us, but would RM consider 60% as within the definition. A further problem is that the term "duties" can be read as within the office (for us), or for the whole country (RM). That's the problems the words are the words but as with most of the BT2010 agreement the definition of those words is up for interpretation.

I always thought the "vast majority" was in there because hybrid duties will have to start later.
In a town the last letter is 3pm.
On a basic 8hr day that means a full-time duty has to begin at 7am at the latest.

That's a self imposed constraint though.
It isn't part of the USO and there are no penalties for breaching it so really it's pretty meaningless.

Still on hold in my area. I was in a meeting with the Area Rep and Div Rep yesterday and as far as I know nothing has changed. I've been released to attend the forum in London but is it worth it, will anything change?

I found it good as well, Bob Gibson is like a angry dragon at the moment so definitely go at the very least you get to hear direct from the horses mouth in details whats happening and why.

Once the officers have said their piece then the meeting is opened to questions from the reps. Anything you want to say/ask you you can do so, Dave Bob Terry Ray are a captive audience so if you have an issue you want to bring to their attention you can get a answer there and then.
