Singing Walsall postman hopes to hit high notes in competition finals http://www.expressandstar.com/news/2012 ... on-finals/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Nathan Farrell, from Walsall, who has been a postman for more than eight years, sings regularly on his post round.
The 26-year-old, of Church Street, Bloxwich, got through the regional heats of Grosvenor Casinos’ talent competition earlier this month and will be competing in the national finals at the Grosvenor G Casino Coventry on Friday.
On Sunday, the father-of-two will be heading to The Bedford Corn Exchange to compete in the Midland finals of the Open Mic UK competition.
Mr Farrell said: “I’m really pleased. There will be about 30 acts on Friday and about 35 on Sunday.
“For the casino competition I will probably sing something by Elton John or Michael Buble, but for the other one I want to sing my own song, Keep Your Dreams Alive.
“It’s an uplifting song. I’m hoping it will get me noticed.”
