MGV Drivers will get the delivery supplement but only if they perform an element of delivery work within their contracted hours.
It does beg the question though if being tagged to a delivery office is no longer enough and you have to actually deliver something...why is that not the case across the board?
Of course the easy thing for Royal Mail to do now that they have clarification is make sure MGV drivers don't perform an element of delivery work within their contracted hours...oops.
Well really the ambiguity continues. What would be classed as an element of delivery work? A little IPS, dropping delivery bags, delivering a few SDs or tracked? How many of us and I am one who receives the supplement but I don't deliver - how bloody penny pinching is it to deny a few drivers a supplement that will inevitably disappear over time.

Are they getting it backdated?

Yes...
This will be backdated to June 2010.

does anybody know when this was supposed to be paid

some of us are still receiving the professional drivers allowance, even though they have taken the 7.5 ton vehicles away from us and are still on the OMV grade, (incorporated into basic pay, not an allowance) but do not receive the delivery supplement of £20.

the Bt 2010 stipulates that anybody attached to a delivery office wll receive this payment.

forget the moral debate on this for the moment, not receiving this payment inline with the agreement equates to about 2 k in back pay

right or wrong

what is the situation in regards to this matter at this moment in time (now)

if it should have been paid, why have we not received it. if we are not entitled then tell us, do not leave us in limbo

So the question is do you perform an element of delivery work in your duty time?
If so you should get the delivery supplement,if not you won't.

yes, we are all on delivery work, have been since the BT2010 CAME IN

we have only been receiving the professional driving allowance , not the delivery supplement even though we had no 7.5 ton vehicles since the BT 2010 came in which was incorporated into basic pay, but no delivery supplement

the question is, when are we going to be paid it (delivery supplement) with the back dated pay, it has been 2 years now and this cant go on. DOM keeps saying its down to HR and is not interested

i thought this was finally sorted out a while back by another LTB

but the question is how do i move this forward with HR and the DOM dragging their heals as its not in their interest to settle this matter as any back pay will prob come out of the office budget.

their are 10 of us in the delivery office this effects and a total of about 20 grand is at stake
