No, it's your normal day off so they can't change it (in theory anyway).
It would depend what your xmas arrangements are.
If you are opting to work your day off during the xmas pressure, you need to stipulate now that for you that doesn't include xmas eve.

No.
I think if you were going to do that you would hypothetically probably pick another day in December.
Perhaps one that coincided with something important in the Postal Industry or maybe not.
Something entirely different might be happening on or around the 17th or might not be.

Generals never strike....only the soldiers.
Around the 17th would be when local MP's do that pathetic office visit thing.

hi all 17th December is forecast to be the height of xames pressure and on that day the cwu is planning a keep the post public day when we will wear a badge or a hat supplied by the cwu or something along these lines we where told at a region office reps meeting at Bristol where the union big wigs appeared for one day only!!!!! your office raps should be getting one in your area very soon it would seem a back bone has been found!!!
