Letter to Branches
No. 851/12 Date: 15th November 2012
To: All Branches with Postal Members
Dear Colleague
Allocation of Field Organisers
Branches will be aware that following a change in the rules at this year’s Rules Revision Conference, Organising has been moved into the Industrial Departments.
Interviews for the Field Organisers have now concluded and each Branch will have a Field Organiser allocated to work with them.
The Field Organisers have been given some key projects to work on during the run up to the Christmas pressure period. One project is to compile a database of all Representatives in the Postal Constituency and Branches will therefore be contacted by their Field Organiser to obtain this information in the very near future. We understand that some Branches may be going through Branch Ballots at this time however this work still needs to be done. Once the elections have taken place it is easy to update the information.
The Field Organisers will also be able to assist Branches in their continued efforts around Motion 60.
Attached for your information is the allocation of the Field Organisers.
Any enquiries on the above LTB should be addressed to Lionel Sampson, Senior Policy Advisor DGS (P) Department.
Yours sincerely
Dave Ward
Deputy General Secretary (P)

Sorry did I miss something? Who are these people, where are they from, what is their role exactly and have they been voted in or just floated in?

I'd surely be interested to know what salary they are on, who's paying them and what they do - do you think it's jobs for the boys? I'm prepared to buy a tractor.................in fact I'd raise the stakes..............because Oi've got a brand new combine harvester

Well scratch Virgin from the list then - so that's what they do, though they are short on the target of September - next question is who are they? where are they from and how have they been chosen and was the positions advertised?

Its existing organisers re allocated to either postal or telecoms due to scraping of a organasing department and the functions going to the two DGS departments and then given branches to assist.
Paid employees of CWU I believe.

Soooo - what did they do before? It's starting to look like the state of Denmark again!!!! Looking at it realistically exactly how effective are they going to be given the size of the areas they are supposed to be covering. The interviews have been concluded - could someone post the application for the vacancies - I may have been ideal.Big Daz wrote:Its existing organisers re allocated to either postal or telecoms due to scraping of a organasing department and the functions going to the two DGS departments and then given branches to assist.
