Like most of the general public, we wrongly assumed that 'recorded' meant 'safe', and that Special Delivery was for bulky items that could get broken etc. We did not put a return address on the envelope for privacy reasons, because it was obvious from the business address that there would have been financial documents enclosed. However, I'm praying that it does get returned to Belfast because when they open it up, they'll have more than enough to go on.
So is it possible that it could be seeing the 18 days out in a delivery office somewhere? If so, when the time has passed will it automatically get sent to Belfast, or will someone look at the address and realise that it could easily be delivered? How long could it take to be processed at Belfast?
