I can't find any blurb on this either here, or the cwu site. Has reading the exact pay deals become taboo these days?

I suspect there are a lot more than two tiers of pay other than inside and outside london.

In particular, I'd like to find out pay & terms for HWDC, Gatwick, Rochester, and ELDC compared to what agencies are paying these days.
Manpower don't seem to be supplying so many drivers these days do they?

Manpower lost the contract for PRDC Now they are only suppling MGV drivers. Also they have got Stobarts on standby

I can't say I've heard of MGV.

I hope this is not another umbrella based firm. Royal Mail were always good in that they steered clear of self-employed and self-liability insured drivers.

MGVs are lorrys like the 600s, don't know what the boundry between MGV and LGV is

I am guessing that an MGV is a Medium Goods Vehicle and is probably for vehicles between 3.5 and 7.5 tonnes. Basically covering the gap from the new car licence and the grandfather rights one. New drivers need to pass another test to drive the MGVs I think.

I do artic work at weekend and it works out about severteen pound an hour. A bit less for seventeen ton and about severn pound a day for 600 work. Hope this helps

mgv grade is also called the professional drivers grade. about £ 11 an hour outside the smoke. up to 7.5 tonne motors for this grade.
