The earlier you attend the registration the better chance of getting a minimum of 4-5 weeks. Last year some people got extensions at the place I was at. Not sure how though. They went into January and some on here even had 6 month contracts given, not sure if that was from the Christmas Casual or earlier, I don't know how they got given them positions. I felt I did the work at the exact same pace yet only managed to do three weeks last time.torchwood wrote:I have the interview on Monday, how much work am i likely to get? or is it a case of how long is a piece of string? i have applied for Chester MC. Think i read that last year some people only did 2 weeks in December.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
