Congratulations.

There are no set hours - some units have people starting at 5:30 and some as late as 7.00 or even later. Even then different duties will come in at different times, at my place starting times are 5:30, 6:30, 8:00 and 9:00 - most finish times though are between 1pm and 3pm if on deliveries.

Probably not if your office has modernised you'll be paired with a driver. If still on old style deliveries then you'll be on a cycle, trolley or walking duty.

Next to none - Full timers on 39 hours usually start between 5-7am - delivery usually starts at 09:30 - 10:30 (dependant on breaks) and as most deliveries are 3.5hrs and some even 6hrs +.

Varies, but a lot do start out as Christmas casuals and get called back, I did. It all depends on what the turn over is in the particular office and if the manager is recruiting.

Like most jobs it has its good points and its bad points, it depends on your outlook and character I think. My best advice in a delivery office till you get your feet under the table is ask lots of questions and keep your ears open, but don't join in the banter straight away.

To be honest if you survive in a Delivery Office between November and February especially if the weather is bad, and still enjoy the job then you'll cope with anything.

You could but they don't have many nights in Delivery Office and when they do it tends to go to the most senior and experienced.
