No it won't. The area and div reps don't have the time or the expertise to do training properly. Your Branch should sort it out. If they don't, look at the TUC website and other unions websites. Training should be standardised and TUC approved.

Other unions manage it, why can't we?

Well, there are a lot of NEC friends on Liam's facebook and the NEC are not bending over backwards to organise local reps.
Industrial conference time has been reduced, training is not promoted very prominently and local reps are not encouraged to link up across Branch boundaries. If there are 5 units that do the same business nationally, you can bet that management have organised themselves to make sure the Ops managers in these units have a monthly meeting. Our local reps in these units don't even know each others names.
Industrial organisation should be our top priority.

I don't see the connection. I have PEC Members on my Facebook, and Union Officials and Branches - I also have someone from Spain doesn't make me Spanish. I also have someone that describes himself as a "Principle Managing Partner", but I am not a businessman. If people only chose their friends because the agreed with everything they said then any political or industrial discussion would be both remarkably short and completely pointless. As Sun Tzu says "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer." its not quite that black and white but the general message is certainly valid.

Yes I agree that we need to be better organised - guess what so do most on here that's one of the reasons why Postman provides this forum.
