22 years started 25/02/07.Cant think why that is ingrained on my memory

Always bben on deliveries and only joined as a temporary fix while the building game was a little dodgy.

12 1/2 Years just feels like 42 1/2.
Worked in sevaral offices and in each one, have had fantastic crowd of colleagues,just the odd shi##ouse, funny enough who use there cars.
Royal Mail splendid must have had one of the most loyal work forces in the country so what do Laurel Hardy do f#ck it up.

10 years in total as of next Saturday.
7 years in Watford, processing, coding, IMP's & LSM's.
Transferred up North and now 3 years on deliveries.
Love being out on the walk but fed up with all the pressure
inside the office.

I joined in July 1987. Joined the UCW my first week.

Started in at HalCon in RM Parcels, as it was before it became Parcelforce.
Oh man, it was like another world. We had a half hour break during the first period of our shift,
a full hour meal relief, and another half hour break during the second period.
Now we get a measly 40 minutes in total which most of my colleagues dont even bother taking. Grrr !

I've also done multi-drop deliveries, trunking and have been at Letters for some years.

started out as temporary part-time, got made up to temp full-time, that was 19 years ago this year

18 years in june spent my first two weeks in the job at a training school learning the sorting and on the second monday 2 senior officials from our branch came to the school and enlisted us into the union.
Since then i have had more managers than newcastle united in the old days you were trusted to do your job now the managers get on your case just to justify there jobs.
The one thing i have noticed is the postman who have croseed over the divide and gone managers are the toe rags that used to carve the job up.
