Surprised more offices aren't doing it with the managers we have to deal with. I'm sure our office is on the verge of flipping soon enough.

Is it the preston posties on strike or the main distribution centre?

Going to be a quiet start to the work if its the distribution centre.

The management in Preston should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this dispute to continue. The next time I visit Preston and see an Ivory tower, I'll know straightaway, its where the Preston bosses reside.

True Blue Terrier, meanwhile, sadly highlights the very sad state of affairs in relation to walkouts around the country. It paints a dim picture of management, way way out of their comfort zone.

It's indicative of an undercurrent of dissatisfied posties and if so many have walked out, how many more offices are close to the edge?

Unballoted industrial action Preston Central Delivery Office (PR1-4 & PR11)

Staff at our Preston Central Delivery Office have returned to work today, following the recent, unballoted industrial action at that office.
Deliveries and collections in the PR1-PR4 and PR11 postcode areas should be made in all areas today. Deliveries are likely to continue to be disrupted in these areas though, as services return to normal over the next few days.
We'd like to apologise again to all affected customers for any inconvenience this action has caused.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Work to rule, no covering overtime, no coming in on your day off, cut off, do the job EXACTLY by the book, that will throw a major spanner into the works.

Would be great to see other offices following this example. Watch it spread across the country. WE have the power, RM and the highly paid incompetent managers rely on our goodwill.
