I received a post card earlier this summer to register early for the Christmas jobs as a returner as I have work as a Christmas Casual for the past two Christmas seasons and I already registered early and applied for the Christmas Casual Staff at Glasgow Royal Mail Centre at the very time the recruiting campaign began. I haven't received a registration event invite email from anywhere, nor has my application status changed from "APPLICATION RECEIVED".
Is anyone else experiencing the same problem as me? Does anyone know what is going on for us returning applicants whom registered early? Can anyone provide me with the assurance that my application for this season is not in jeopardy?? I am confused, man!

Exactly the same situation i'm in, the registration in my area was today and iv'e not received any email invitation to it. It would have been my 4th year in a row but no invite.
Just a suggestion.... I replied to the Easter Card that we all got asking us to register an interest in working this Xmas.
Now I seem to remember that the status on "your applications" on RM's website, said something like "application received" BUT this was only advanced registration, but was confusing! At the end of August another card came from them reminding us to apply in the coming weeks. Now you have said that you have worked there for a few years, so I would suggest that possibly the famous email did not make it to your inbox, but is in "your emails" on the above website.
The message "application received" only applies to the registration. It should say that you have passed the assessment but you still have to apply and complete the form. I made this mistake but have now been given an offer of an interview date after I got a message that my application was cofirmed.

If my submitted application was only "advance registration" then Royal Mail Recruitment would have been less insensitive enough to have clearly inform me about it, in the first place. Anyhow I am sure that I have made the official application during the very start of the recruiting campaign, as I have said. But thanks for the advice, mate. :)

No, you got this all wrong. My summery page title clearly states CHRISTMAS CASUAL-GLASGOW ROYAL MAIL CENTRE-LATES, APPLICATION RECIEVED. The problem here is that now that I have submitted the official application, I should have received a registration event invite at the same time as others have.
