Mail centres to be Privatised (just a rumour)

Post by steven100 »

Heard a rumour today (just a rumour) that Edinburgh Mail Centre is to privatised. And that all employees have to reapply for there jobs. I'm just wondering if this is also a rumour sweeping other mail centres across the UK.

i heard the same type of thing yesterday...we had (well nights didn't because they never turned up)some "directors of communication" come to our mc to answer questions about "the colleague phantom shares scandal" , apparently they gave an audience to a small group (on afternoons), and indicated that privatisation by 2014 was on the cards. sadly like i say the "director of communication" could not communicate to the night staff that they weren't going to turn up for the 11pm appointment with us, so some staff had a little break waiting for them not to turn up :whistle :dcfo

We had them in our MC the other week...

Couldn't answer ONE question of the many that we gave them, and they were shocked to see us shoving DVD's through an iLSM..... :pray
And after a while, you can work on points for style,
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.

You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.

Not the many thousands of them that we get coming back.......

And the many hundreds of DVD's that get smashed up in the machinery! :shhhhh

It also explains why the quality of playback seems to have changed about 18 months ago. I think till then I had returned 1 disc that was un-playble. Now days I reckon its about 1 in 8 or 1 in 10.
