Christmas 2012 registration - Status Application received
I did Christmas work last and was given the option to register for this year.
My summary is saying that my application has been received but I have been unable get any more details when I log into this.
Can anyone tell me if a registration event has taken place in Chelmsford so that I can chase them up on my application

hello i experienced the very same problem myself (Carlisle though) , after countless attempts in trying to find the problem through the royal mail helpline i finally found an adviser who really helped me out , he told me that although it says "application received " you have to search for your job location in the search and apply and then click on apply and it will show that you haven't tagged your application to your local mail center ,and its just a case of reviewing your application and answering the questions as per usual apparently its a common problem ,
worked for me hope this helps

Re: Christmas 2012 registration application received
My problem is that I have already registered early for this year when I was given the option as I have worked as Christmas casual staff the last two years and I have also applied and submitted for this years CHRISTMAS CAUSAL Staff at Glasgow Mail Centre as soon as the recruiting campaign began at the start of September and I have been contacted about the registration even and I know applicants in Glasgow whom already received registration event invite emails. I check all my emails, junk mail, Royal Mail recruiting website email and my application status only says APPLICATION RECEIVED after over month and I haven't received any contact from RM. I am worried and anxious to know the progress of my application. Can anyone help me, please??FelineFraz wrote:Could you please share us the helpline number, as I am experiencing a similar problem??fergieuk1 wrote:lesdynan wrote:I did Christmas work last and was given the option to register for this year.

Have you tried the suggestion from fergie
he told me that although it says "application received " you have to search for your job location in the search and apply and
then click on apply and it will show that you haven't tagged your application to your local mail center ,
and its just a case of reviewing your application and answering the questions as per usual apparently its a common problem ,

Re: Christmas 2012 registration - Status Application receive
I already have searched and applied for a position for CHRISTMAS CASUAL GLASGOW. The problem is that I already have registered and searched and applied for a job and done everything that I need and I haven't received word of contact after waiting for weeks and I am anxious to receive an update of progress of my application.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Have you tried the suggestion from fergie

Re: Christmas 2012 registration - Status Application receive
I worked at the Romford Mail Centre last year and reapplied in early Oct. My application says "Application received". I was told by friends that they had already started interviewing etc.
Have the registration events all been completed yet? If so why hasnt the status changed?
Any help would be grateful.....
Thanks all

Re: Christmas 2012 registration - Status Application receive
Did you click on email in My application to see if you got any emails "WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO YOUR REGISTRATION SESSION" and to book interview.
I applied for 2 jobs in Belfast on 10 and 12 September 2012 and checked my email in My application and my last 2 email was on the 6 October 2012 for the last last job I applied.
I had my interview/registration day on 23 October 2012. I was given start date for Monday 10 December 2012 10am to 6pm at - NATIONAL RETURNS LETTER CENTRE BELFAST
Cheers

Re: Christmas 2012 registration - Status Application receive
My Dad applied for Sheffield on the 14th September (he did Xmas casual last year too) but his application is still at Application Received, despite interviews already taking place earlier this month. He contacted the helpline but all the lady could say was interviews were done in batches and to just wait.
Am wondering if he's not been lucky?
PS He was a Royal Mail employee for several years previously.

Re: Christmas 2012 registration - Status Application receive
All the emails I have are confirming my account or confirming applications I have made.
I am using the same logon as last yr and have the email offering me work last year etc, Do you think this could be affecting it at all?

Re: Christmas 2012 registration - Status Application receive
When you call this number and choose option 2 - 'for current applications' an automated message then tells you that due to the large volume we cannot discuss individual applications... please check your inbox or text messages ..." So how can we contact you Guys?lesdynan wrote:I have now applied and been to a registration event. If you are still having problems you could try one of the below contacts.

Choose option 6 That get you through to a human eventually.
Although don't hold your breath for good news. I have been told today that although I applied on Sept 7th, and worked last year, all vacancies in Canterbury have been filled. Ironically a friend who applied on 27th sept and was interviewed last month got a job. Seems experience, loyalty count for little
