regular workers get more time in their break, and probably get paid breaks too, it's not fair.
If you have qualified for AWR you should get the same breaks. Your problem is finding out from Angard/Royal Mail what these are.

I have been trying to find out since I qualified for AWR but HR at Mail Centre tell me to ask Angard - Angard say the Mail Centre have not told them so they can not tell us. I have asked the Mail Centre to print me off the relevant pages they give to the permanents so they know what they get for their breaks but they will not even do that.

I basically ask a few permanents what they take for the hours/shift and then decide from their response what to take. Even the permanents give different break times for same shift/hours to each other. Some say they have never been told what it should be so guess or take what they feel is appropriate based on what others take.

Someone has posted the agreed national breaks on this forum but it seems they can vary slightly from the national ones at some Mail Centres.

I thought that Angard had nothing to do with Xmas casuals this year? I would be quite disapointed if we only get 30 mins break like last year.

Angard are responsble for the all year round casuals. Only the Agency casuals can qualify for AWR - the Christmas casuals will not be Agency workers and are supposed to be directly hired by Royal Mail and should have nothing to do with Angard.

Royal Mail Christmas casuals will probaby have the same breaks we used to have as Royal Mail casuals (before Angard). On the other hand, the handbook detailing the breaks for Angard staff was written/approved by Royal Mail and had at least one illegal break time.
