Network 12 VOC resign
Has any network VOC started there resign yet? The reason i ask is my manager is pushing us to get ours underway as he has been told other Vocs in the area have started theres. However we are not ready, as i believe that there are more changes to come. Is there anyway of checking with other units just to clarify this?

Make the most of your resign.
Soon Eddie Stobbart or Owens Road Services(who have been coming to our mail centre)will be doing the runs.
Royal mail cannot afford to pay LORRY drivers £35000 a year, when they can get other companies to do it cheaper ie £7.00 per hour

Re: Network 12 VOC resign
We were about to start our resign this week, as the duties have now been agreed. However our planner has come back to us today and told us that we are going to have to revisit some of the duties, as we cannot have a duty that is more than 48 hours net. So for example we have some fixed duties that are 55 hours gross, take out 5 hours unpaid break leaves the duty at 50 hours a week.
This directive has just come out and even my line manager was unaware of it as we have had duty sets like this for the past few years. I have not seen anything from the CWU agreeing to this. Is this right? Or is it another ploy to get more weekend work in?

Given the scariness of your post and your username, I think you need taming ...theshrew wrote:Make the most of your resign.

I wouldn't be surprised if the runs to DOs get contracted out eventually as well.
When do RDCs fully switch from sending stuff to MCs from cages to yorks?
