Im just wondering, I had a phone call from Angard just now asking me if I would work tonight, I said yes. The guy said he'd book me in. Although, I haven't had confirmation by text.

Your confirmation was the person saying you were booked in. Go if you have not already gone.
I have never received a text confirming booking in for work. Indeed, they should not be using text for anything as the mobile phone companies do not guarantee when and even if texts will arrive.
