Any delays with the post?

Post by mahrm1 »

I got something sent to me Tuesday 28th August 2nd class standard which still has not arrived just seeing if there are there any back logs anywhere?

Also I posted something on Thursday 30th August 1st class standard and it still has not got to the delivery address

Has the bank holiday got anything to do with this?

Hard to say. A delay in Norwich wont affect you if you're posting from Truro to Shrewsbury. If we knew the source and destination mail centre someone might be able to tell you though!

When it arrives check the franking/horizon for the posting date, sometimes ebay sellers have been known to lie about when they post things.

I`m waiting on an important letter that I know was posted 1st class Friday morning. Should I have got it yesterday? Was from a local business (Dundee).

Should have but a number of factors on why it might not have.
Your postman sick
Dim has "streamed" the mail
sickness in the mail centre
mechanical breakdowns
just to name a few

Understand Jubilee also having problems fitting everything in. I'm sure they must have considered the volume of Autumn pressure work when they decided to move the work in from Nine Elms :whistle

I really don't think they thought of anything,in fact i think they have been economical in the truth,i also think they have lied so much about the amount of mail in kent that is why it really don't fit into any of the sites,of course they will come out with all kinds of excuses to cover their backs as normal, imho.

Loads of artics being diverted to the old MC at Maidstone because the new MC is too small.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

If they told the truth in the first place Kent is a big area it is full of businesses sending loads of mail, they have lied about what is being handled they have put all it's eggs in one basket and it don't work,if they have done it in Kent you can bet your bottom dollar they have done it all over the country,it is a case of these managers not knowing what they are talking about, they blame the work force for being lazy and taking the mick but it is these people at the top who are taking the mick they have it very wrong.

EPC has seen a massive upsurge in mail-especially nightshift over the last week-failed a couple of times.
