The problem we have is that standing firm on the picket line is well and good but we need to have good strong leadership. My fear is that what will happen is that HQ will allow the changes to come in and instead of systematic strike action it will denigrate into a series of local wild cat strikes over conditions and peter out into nothing over time and good old HQ will be wringing their hands saying how we should have let them run things.

These people need a broom handle rammed up through their backsides, to take the place of the backbone they clearly lack !!!

I know some on here say we should welcome back into the fold those strike breakers who might now see the light and not go in during the next round of strikes. Personally, I couldn't stomach standing on the same line as them

The new conditions that RM are proposing are nothing short of sickening.

When i read the handout i was given at work yesterday i honestly nearly fell through the floor.

Just cannot believe that an employer can be allowed to treat its staff in such a way!

Surely it must be an infringement of our human rights or something???

I have only been in the job for just over two years but i can see,in my office at least,how much the company had detirioted over the last 3-months.

Walks being left in & not taken out every day,casual staff being employed who basically couldn`t give two f***s being the tip of a very large iceberg.

I honestly cannot see me being a postie this time next year.

I hope im wrong but i can see RMs proposals coming in simply because the majority of RM employees DO NOT REALISE THE s**t WE ARE IN!

Our only hope is work to rule & to strike every Saturday for the forseeable future.

We need to act & we need to act now,show these two bastards that we wont be pushed around!

Dunno how you guys feel, but members in my Midlands D.O. branch feel let down by the CWU. Having to listen to the media to know what our union is doing re strikes aint on.

we all do what we fink is rite at the time, sumtimes we fall flat on our face and have 2 get on with it. yeah the strike breakers during the 1st strike did what they thought best but if they see sense and join the line then i have no problem with that and i hope u lot wont either.maybe im getting soft but as id said id rather have a scab join the line then some1 join the strike breakers

Been on hols so am catching up here folks, so then 1st october we can be on whatever duty they put us on?? even if we r a duty holder??? does that still apply even when we will be striking again soon??

Hopefully we will be getting more info from the CWU now that we are heading for more IA.
But tell your mates to get onto this site - I've got more info on here about what's been happening than from the CWU, RM and the media put together.

Must admit our lads who came out feel let down too! A lot of impetus to strike has been lost at our moderate office and those that worked through the first few IA are saying that we have achieved nothing. Been a Union man all my working life and that has always been with this Union, however even I feel let down this time.
