All of this may be true, however it doesn't alter the fact that, dispite D2D's now being included into workload, NO EXTRA TIME has been allocated. Duties have just had to absorb the extra workload for the ( pro rata ) payment of £21

This payment would have to rise by 95% for me to get back to pre BT2010 wages ! How long will it take me to get back to that level of take home pay ??? How many years ?

Still, those on indoor work are laughing, £21 for doing nought !

Why do you think that people are STILL talking about D2D's 3 years on ? Is it because they think its a good deal, Or because they feel SHAFTED by the CWU ?

How many years have we fought for these right & supliments only to have Billy give them away ONE BY ONE ? ( driving / nda / phg / sat attendance......the list goes on )

In the past my unit has been 98% behind the CWU, we have taken action BEFORE national strikes have been called. BUT after the BT2010 agreement came in, well, put it this way, DON'T count on that support anymore. You'd be lucky to get 15% to vote to take action to support the CWU.

Again I ask, Why do you thing that the D2D issue won't go away ?

THIS ISSUE HURTS BECAUSE IT HIT MOST MEMBERS IN D.O.'s IN THE POCKET £££ !

Members expect their union to look after their T&C's

The CWU is just managing their decline !

So, Full Timer doing normal working day - 7 hours 48 (39 hr week) gets £23 Delivery Suplement. Part Timer (say 25 hr contract) working normal day - 5hrs + 2hrs 48 overtime on a full time duty still only gets £12 Delivery Supplement. Both work the same hours in a day but Part Timer doesn't get any extra Del Supplement.....................why??

Any PTer is paid using the SSPR overtime rate for extra work done between their contract hours and FT hours, which pays them extra delivery supplement money pro rata, so a FTer and PTer doing 40 hours a week get the same gross pay.

This is why SSPR is a higher rate of pay then "first 10 hours" o/t. ;)

Another load of s**t with the d2d "Agreement" Is someone can be on a round with 400 houses and another guy with 800,The guy with 800 is given no extra prep time which if you have 6 lots is a pain in the arse,So the guy with 800 runs out of time and cuts off causing hassle from the manager,The guy with 400 is left alone because he has time to do his,Just.

Part timers get less money,Even though they Deliver exactly the same rounds as a full timer,So why should they get less Delivery suppliment when they are delivering the same rounds?

Get rid of the suppliment and bring back payments for D2D,Even if it is lower than the old 1.67p,I would agree to 1p,Just to make it fair all round.

Because the supplement is not solely for outside work, if it was those offices on DM would get more than those that are pre revision, also rurals would get more as they are generally out for 6 hours, planned.

The delivery supplement was designed as a recognition of the importance of the role and is not just for one part of the Delivery function but all of it. So you get a Delivery Supplement based on hours you work up to and including 39/40 hrs.

The mail does not magically appear in the fittings/frames/drop bags someone has to put it there, is that any less important than what a PTimer does and so deserves less pay whilst doing it.

Now if a part timer could explain why they should have a better hourly rate of pay than a full timer when we all do the same job I am ready to listen.

Why is he given no extra prep time?
It would cause the manager less hassle to allocate the correct prep time than have him cut off.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

What makes it at least appear unfair was that part-time members feel they lost exactly the same as full-time members(D2D payments) but only received a portion(pro-rata) of it's "replacement".
Most of us know this is untrue because most full-timers also lost their full-time Early Shift Allowance.
Losing my D2D payments didn't bother me,losing my ESA really pissed me off.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

No you don't!

That is a delivery supplement which you still get if you have no D2Ds and are on leave.
I really do think that's a silly line to trawl in order to try to justify the fact that full timers get around double the pay that part timers do for d2d. Technically, we don't get paid, but the supplement was essentially a replacement forthe payment we used to get, only dressed up in different terms. part timers get about half what we do for the same workload, that's the bottom line. It was low of RM/CWU to do this but hey, that's what everyone voted in, right? :wave

everyone?
