Re: Cycle 2 work scheme
Quick question, I've applied & received my first letter which I've to sign & send back.
I just wondered, the letter with the contract seems to make it quite clear that there is no direct entitlement for me to take ownership of the bike at the end of the hire period, I just wondered has anyone actually completed the hire period & actually been refused & had the bike taken back?

Has anyone ordered a bike from Leisure Lakes online using the cycle2work LOC if so what was the process and could you add your own money to the voucher?

Re: Cycle 2 work scheme
Cheers, I just wondered why the letter had pretty much tried to hammer home that the Royal Mail might not give you the option to purchase the bike at the end of the agreement. Cheers for your help.custard wrote:nobody has had the bike taken backb_0_0_m wrote:Quick question, I've applied & received my first letter which I've to sign & send back.

Re: Cycle 2 work scheme
Just had my loc emailed to me today, went onto halfords website to reserve the voodoo hoodoo only to find they''ve put the price up from £499.99 to £529.99
rang them up to see if they'd honor the lower price or if I could add the 30 quid to get the bike, was told no on both counts gutted!!!!

Re: Cycle 2 work scheme
Halfords are always having sales/offers (especially around bank holidays) and put their prices up just before so it looks like you're getting a better deal at the sale price, keep an eye on their website and i'm sure it will be below the £500 limit soon enough

Re: Cycle 2 work scheme
also might be worth looking to the british cycling
http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/member ... .org.uk%2F" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
join for £13.50
get 10% off(you would need to confirm you can use that with the C2W LOC)
so £550 bike becomes £495+£13.50= £508.50
