Re: Cycle 2 work scheme
Thinking about applying, but have a couple of questions first.
I take it that the deductions from wages only begin when you've got your bike, not from when you receive the LOC?
Has anyone on here got a Voodoo 29'er through the scheme,if so,what are your impressions?
Cheers,
P_ostman

Re: Cycle 2 work scheme
The deductions begin a couple of weeks after you have got your bike - once someone has got round to doing the paperwork.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: Cycle 2 work scheme
I have just been to halfords with my application form (waiting to be signed) for my £500 LOC. I had a look at the range on offer and £500 will get you nowt in terms of quality components that will last and live up to EVERYDAY use. In 2000 the Royal Mail bikes cost £365 each the millenium bikes made by pashley. What on earth are RM thinking putting a £500 limit to the vouchers? BIG FAIL!
We are in 2012 now and as we all know money dosnt go as far as it used to so come on RM get a grip and up that to a level where we can get a quality cycle, helmet, lights and lock £750 is more likie it or even the full amount like every other business!

Re: Cycle 2 work scheme
I want a Boardman hybrid, but it's 50 quid over and above the 500, so c2w can just fork off. One of my workmates asked the local Halfords manager why Royal Mail was limited to only 500, and he said that it was because of our massive staff turnover. Job satisfaction eh, there's nothing like it

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
