Was getting £6.08 & this week it dropped to £4.98

Post by franufc08 »

has this happened to anyone else this week? I haven't had a problem with Angard at all until now. I have been getting the correct pay every week but all of a sudden my pay sheet comes through the post and it says 44.00hrs @ 4.98 this week  how the hell could it just change from getting 6.08 an hour to this??

Must be an error thats less than minimum wage unless your 18 - 20 years old. Mind you the adult minimum wage (their words not mine) is £6.19 - so all quite confusing.

First question

How old are you?

next question

Have you completed the qualifying period for AWR rights?

Unfotunately the pay rate for 20 year olds is the £4.98 (minimum wage for your age).

Expect them to take the difference in money they have paid you at £6.08 back too.

Wow haha that is a joke tbh like! £4.98 for a 20 year old working especially with the 20% VAT also..don't think I am gonna stay much longer with this job if it stays at this! Do far too much for £4.98 an hour just not worth it while managers sit around the mail centre on their phones doing nothing and god knows what they are on! Thanks for the info btw Verging!

Look on here for threads about Agency Worker Regulations/Rights (AWR). Lots of information including links to government documentation/legislation about it.

If you're brave or desperate enough to hang on for a few more weeks, the pay should go up if you've worked for over 13 weeks. On nights, we get £11-12 an hour. Depends where in the country you are though, I think.
