Hi there, I'm really hoping somebody can help me here! I went for a job interview at Royal Mail 2 weeks ago - it was for a temporary position as a postman.
Nobody has phoned me, or text me saying that I've got the job, though I did get an email yesterday that reads:
"We are delighted to confirm that you have passed your recent assessment and we are moving your application to the next stage. We will contact you again in the next few days to discuss your application further.
Best Regards"
Also, when I look on my Royal Mail account online, the same email pops up but also beneath 'Job Offers' it reads: 'Postman with driving' along with: "processing
offer."
It looks like a job offer to me, though I was expecting a call, or at least a text - as they did when they informed me of the interview date.
Any help would be really, really appreciated!!
Thanks!

They would still have to do background checks before offering you a job.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Wow, that was quick! Looks like you have a really active forum here!clashcityrocker wrote:They would still have to do background checks before offering you a job.
Thanks for the info. That's what I was thinking: That they are doing the criminal/background check. I would have thought
that they might have told me that in the email.
Thanks!

That's the email I got 2 weeks ago. You will get another one soon asking you a few questions. I then got a phone call from the recruitment team and only now are they processing the background checks, Which could take 14 working days. I first applied on the 2nd June, they are certainly not the quickest at appointing staff.
